Science: Professor Crowley from Dean College (James') Mom shared her knowledge of life science with each 4th grade class on Monday. Students participated in an exciting hands-on lab to learn about the infernal and external structures of plants and how they help the plant adaptations to its environment. Thank you to Mrs. Crowley to preparing an exciting learning opportunity for students and for the parent volunteers who helped out.
Social Studies: We are now traveling to the south eastern states of the United States. Students have create flashcards of states and capitals for this region and are asked to study these nightly.
Math: Students are continuing to learn about fractions. Topic 13 focuses on fraction/ decimal relationships.
Friday we celebrated Read Across America Day and Dr. Suess' birthday. Students at JFK dressed as their favorite character! We joined the entire school in a whole school assemble and later meet with Mrs. Arnold's first grade class to share books and read together.
