We have officially completed our first interactive read aloud, Mr. Popper's Penguins. Students enjoyed many penguin themed activities on today on "black and white" day.
Social Studies:
We are well into our unit on Mexico. This week we were excited to learn about the Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd.
Writer's Workshop:
Students are working hard to revise their narrative stories. This week we focused on showing not telling details and feelings, making the internal story strong, adding figurative language, and making sure our writing stays in perspective. We will be moving on the the editing and publishing process soon.
